Cheshire West and Chester Council has organised their first electric vehicle (EV) awareness event in Ellesmere Port for both the public and businesses.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 21, with businesses invited from 8am to 10am.

Then the general public are welcome to attend the event between 10am and 2pm at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall.

The council have assembled a team of keynote speakers to assist companies in their EV transition, covering a variety of topics including tax savings, grant availability, vehicle preference, effective EV charging infrastructure, and energy supply.

Businesses are required to register in advance, while public attendees can attend without registration after 10am.

Business admission passes are available via Ticketsource.

The event will incorporate test drives and offer details on upcoming vehicle releases, with approximately 20 exhibitors present.

Electric vehicles on display will include models from BMW, BYD, Ford, MINI, Peugeot, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Tesla, and Toyota.

A selection of these will be available for test drives.

Stellantis will demonstrate how its Ellesmere Port plant has been restructured to accommodate EV production.

Expert advice on transitioning to electric vehicles will be provided by other exhibitors, including Char.gy, Connected Energy, DriveElectric, E.ON Drive, Health Box, Joju Solar, TB Electrics, and Trojan Energy.

Business attendees will receive a complimentary Electric Vehicle Business Toolkit download, offering necessary information about EVs and charging.
