A NEW artisan market which drew hundreds of visitors at its launch in March is set to return later this month.

The inaugural event, brought to the town as a collaboration between Frodsham Town Council and Independent Street, welcomed crowds of visitors, marking a significant milestone for the town’s cultural and economic landscape.

With more than 50 carefully selected stalls plus live music from Marc Gallagher and a paint and pot workshop for children by Carrington Crafts, visitors will have another chance to experience the new market on Saturday, April 27.

From award winning pies to epic cakes, Lebanese delicacies, olives and mezze, gluten free and vegan options, artisan candles and handmade jewellery, to local art and design, hand baked treats for dogs, beautiful handmade textiles, Portuguese deli, wooden crafts, tasty cheeses, local gin distilleries, artisan soaps and vintage stalls.

Months of meticulous planning culminated in a resounding success, with attendees hailing from various regions, including many who had never before experienced the charm of Frodsham.

The organisers say the bustling event not only showcased the town’s rich tapestry of artisans and creators but also served as a catalyst for driving foot traffic into Frodsham’s established shops, cafes, and restaurants.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to Frodsham’s Artisan Market,” said a spokesperson for Frodsham Council.

“The event not only highlighted the incredible talents of our local artisans but also showcased Frodsham as a vibrant destination for visitors. We are delighted to have brought new faces into our town and provided a platform for our existing businesses to thrive.”

Lisa Cowley from Independent Street said: “Our launch event in Frodsham saw a tremendous buzz about town. We have been inundated with requests for stalls plus countless messages from local businesses.

“Thank you to the Frodsham Town Council and to Cheshire West and Chester Council for their support and for the opportunity to showcase in Frodsham, we are very excited to develop this event further into 2024. The Frodsham Artisan Market is something very special indeed.”

Frodsham Artisan Market will return on Saturday, April 27 from 10am until 4pm.
