CONCERNED members of the public reported an incident on the outskirts of the city centre to the fire service.
One fire crew attended the scene in Wrexham Road yesterday (Monday, April 15) at about 2.50pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A large unattended bonfire was reported by concerned members of the public.
"Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames."
