RESIDENTS were asked to leave an area in a village on the outskirts of Chester while firefighters tackled a late night incident.
Two fire crews attended the scene in Bellevue Lane, Guilden Sutton, on Friday (April 12) at about 9.30pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two hose reel jets were set in place either side of an electricity pylon that was on fire.
"Firefighters set up a cordon and asked people to leave the affected area.
"Electricity company personnel attended and isolated the power.
"The fire was put out and the area dampened down before the incident was handed over to the electricity company."
