COEDPOETH UNITED CELTS are through to the semi-finals of the Wrexham Junior League’s U14s Cup after a thrilling 6-4 win over Chirk.

Luke Plant led the way with a treble with Charlie Messham (2),and Logan Harper also on target. Cai Newell (2), Nathan Ellis and Mason Pugh made a real game of it.

Rhos Aelwyd eased through at Ruthin Town and Cefn United beat FC Gresford Athletic 3-0.

In the U14s League, Llangollen were big winners at FC Borras Park Albion but Albion’s other side sneaked a 4-3 victory against Bala.

There was also a 6-4 scoreline in the U13s League where Llangollen just got the better of Borras Park Rangers.

Brymbo Lodge edged it 1-0 at Ruthin Town but Ruthin Blues were 10-0 winners at FC Queen’s Park.

Borras Park Albion Blues enjoyed a double-figures win over their Yellows team while there were 4-0 wins for Penycae and Gresford Athletic over Overton and Bala respectively.

Owen Fellowes (2), Harri Jones and Osian Owen-Anning were the Penycae scorers.

Leaders Chirk won 5-0 at Coedpoeth United while Cefn United triumphed 3-1 at Hope Dragons.

In the U12s League, there were 7-0 wins for Cefn Mawr Rangers, Llangollen Blues and Ruthin Town against Borras Park Albion, Brickfield Rangers and Llangollen Reds respectively.

Finley Jones grabbed Chirk’s winner in a 3-2 success against Coedpoeth United Falcons while Coedpoeth Celts went down 10-1 at Overton.

Gresford Athletic were 5-0 winners at Ruthin Blues while FC Queen’s Park and Corwen enjoyed 4-2 victories against Bellevue and FC Llay United respectively.

In the U15s League, Llay United beat Coedpoeth United 8-0 and Brymbo Lodge accounted for Penycae 6-1.

Louie Irving scored for Chirk as they held U16s League leaders Gresford Athletic to a 1-1 draw.
