Police were called at around 2pm on Easter Sunday to reports of an unauthorised encampment.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Officers attended and found there were a small number of cars and caravans present.

“The matter has been reported to the local authority and police will continue to pay passing attention to the site.”

Clothes have been hung up on a washing line outside between trees.

A spokesman for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "We have requested that local police attend and carry out initial assessments as this is on private land.

"We are trying to find the landowner details, so we can offer them advice and support regarding the encampment.
