TOP TV chefs joined those from some of Cheshire’s most revered restaurants over the bank holiday weekend at Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival.
The three-day event, which began on Saturday, March 30, saw a host of famous culinary faces including the likes of Miguel Barclay, Paul Rankin and Simon Rimmer take part in a series of demonstrations showing off some of their favourite dishes.
The event also featured more than 120 stalls providing some of the best food and drink that the county has to offer, as well as kids and adults cooking classes.
Chefs from some of Chester’s finest restaurants were also on hand to wow the crowds, with Elliot Hill from the Chester Grosvenor’s Arkle restaurant, Valentina Aviotti from Da Noi, and Adam Klinger and Shaun Ellson of NorthLight all making an appearance over the course of the event.
Sunday saw the final of the Chester Sausage Competition, a long running fixture of the event in which members of the public vote for their favourite banger.
Despite organisers making the difficult decision to cancel the camping option at the popular festival following an assessment from the Chester Racecourse grounds team, the event was still well-attended with bustling crowds and full exhibition tents throughout the weekend.
