THREE fire crews were called out to an incident on the outskirts of Chester.

Firefighters from Nantwich, Audlem and Whitchurch attended the scene in Whitchurch Road, Malpas, at about 1.20om yesterday (Sunday, March 31).

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a mobile home on fire, close to farm buildings.

"They used two hose reels to extinguish the fire, which had spread to one of the nearby buildings.

"Colleagues from Whitchurch also attended to help shuttle water to the area.

"Crews needed to cut away parts of the building to deal with hot spots of fire and were in attendance for around two and a half hours."
