Plans for a play area at a 142-home development in Chester have been lodged.

Work continues on building housing off Clifton Drive, a development which had seen multiple applications and appeals, a public inquiry and involvement of Government ministers before it was finally approved in April 2021.

A mixture of one- to bfour-bedroom properties are being built on the former Chester College playing fields.

As part of the approval for the application, developers Anwyl were tasked with submitting a play area for families at the site.

Play equipment mooted for the site includes a net climber, swings, a roundabout disc and a roundabout, bars and stepping posts, a slide and a wobble board.

Other park furniture includes small wooden stools around a chair for 'story time', logs, picnic tables, benches and a bin.

The play area would be on enclosed parkland accessed by pedestrian gates, plus trees and planting by Anwyl Homes.

The plans have been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council for approval.
