A Cheshire man has been found guilty on three counts of rape.
Sefa Sarikaya, 22, was standing trial last week on a number of serious charges at Chester Crown Court.
Late on Friday, March 22, the jury of 12 returned unanimous guilty verdicts on five counts. They included three counts of rape which occurred between June and October 2023.
Sarikaya was also found guilty on two other charges involving harm, including a count of assault by beating against a female victim.
The defendant was found not guilty on four other counts, including two of rape, one of assault causing actual bodily harm and intentional strangulation.
Trial judge Recorder Richard Conley said the case would need to be adjourned for pre-sentence reports, to find out more information about the defendant.
Sarikaya was remanded in custody and is to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on the afternoon of May 10.
