A PERSON was rescued from the River Mersey in Cheshire last night, Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the incident near Bridge Foot, Warrington, at 7.20pm.
Four fire engines attended as well as a boat unit and a technical rescue unit.
Crews used a short extension ladder to enable the individual to remove themselves from the river bank.
Paramedics then treated the person.
