A NEW report ranks postcodes in Chester and Cheshire West based on their average house price, revealing the cheapest and most expensive places to live in the borough.

With constant inflation rises, the opportunity for first time buyers to get a mortgage offer that is affordable and reasonable is extremely difficult. This is leaving people either not moving out at all or paying to rent a place instead.

Responding to this ongoing change, Cardinal Steels and Online Marketing Surgery have created their House Price Report, which helped us rank postcodes in Chester and Cheshire West based on their average house price.

The cheapest area in which to buy a property in Cheshire West is Ellesmere Port (CH65) which has an average price of £167,623.

On the other end of the scale is Tarporley and the CW6 postcode, which has an average property price of £521,023.

Elsewhere, central Chester postcodes are dotted throughout the table with Blacon (CH1) the cheapest on average at £242,305 followed by Backford (CH2) £303,001, then Chester (CH3) priced at £324,899 and Boughton the most expensive at £345,750.

The report uses property price data from the HM Land Registry to calculate average house prices for all areas in the Cheshire West and Chester unitary authority.
