A HOUSEBUILDER is launching a new community fund after welcoming its 150th resident to its Kings Moat Garden Village development.
Redrow will open the £5,000 Chester Community Fund to groups and good causes based close to or serving the areas around the development on Wrexham Road.
Caroline Thompson-Jones, area sales manager for Redrow NW, said: “We last launched a community fund in this area in 2020 and we thought now was a great time to launch another to tie in with the milestone of us welcoming our 150th resident. This also means that were about 20% of our way into building a new community of over 700 Redrow homes.
“We want to hear from any community groups, charities and schools who have got projects they need help with.”
With the addition of this latest fund, Redrow’s North West business has voluntarily gifted more than £175,000 to the neighbourhoods in which it builds.
Previous Redrow funding across the North West has helped schools, charities, youth groups, sports teams and individuals at the very heart of the community, providing a range of resources including play equipment, defibrillators, furniture, food parcels, counselling and more.
Caroline added: “Perhaps you’re a community group who has plans to offer new classes or you’re a charity who needs extra funding to support more families in the area. Our community funds are there to help you, so we would urge you to apply.”
