FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an incident in the city centre yesterday afternoon.
One fire crew attended the scene in Eastgate Street at about 1.10pm on Sunday, March 17.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A carelessly discarded cigarette set a bin alight.
"Firefighters used a water backpack to put the fire out."
