FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large diesel spill on a road on the outskirts of Chester after a delivery van had overturned.
One fire crew attended the scene in Ebnal Lane, Malpas, at about 8.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 13).
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Following an incident involving an overturned delivery van, a large quantity of diesel had leaked onto the road.
"The driver of the van was checked over by firefighters and no injuries were reported.
"The crew used absorbent mats and dammit mats to protect drains from the diesel leak and made the scene safe."
