THREE fire crews were called out to a fire at a property in Chester.

Two fire engines from Chester and one from Powey Lane attended the scene in Princes Avenue at about 10.20am yesterday (Sunday, March 10).

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to tackle a fire on the ground floor of a domestic property.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to dampen down the flames.

"A smoke curtain was used to control the smoke.

"Crews provided casualty care to one person."
