There are delays on the M53 motorway in Ellesmere Port this morning due to flooding.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix has reported on Friday, March 8 that the northbound entry sliproad and one northbound lane on the motorway are closed as a result of the incident, at Junction 9 (A5032/National Waterways Museum).
The flooding has been caused by a burst water main.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, with traffic building as far back as Junction 10 (Cheshire Oaks), and to take care around the incident.
