A FORMER pro golfer and broadcaster will open a highly anticipated new mini golf course within Chester’s Westminster Park this Saturday (March 9).

Ken Brown MBE will be on hand to open the new development, located beside the Green Day Café, at 12 noon. The new putting course aims to provide fun for all the family, regardless of golfing ability or experience.

The innovative facility, which will also be accessible for disabled golfers and wheelchair users, is hoping to give more people the chance to get into the sport and provide a platform for them to progress onto playing longer courses.

England Golf affiliated, the new course has been projected managed, designed and financially backed by Ken Moodie of Creative Golf Design Ltd. Former PGA and European Tour winner, Ken Brown MBE is also a design consultant.

The pair have advised and overseen the development of over 50 golf clubs over their 25-year association.

Mr Moodie, Designer & Operator of the course said he was delighted to bring the revolutionary facility to the Cheshire community.

“We can’t wait to see families enjoying spending time together and playing on this new facility, which will get kids away from their computer games and into the wonderful natural environment of Westminster Park. I hope it provides them with a great introduction to golf and a life-long love for the game.”

The course can be found at Green Day Café, Westminster Park, Hough Green, Chester, CH4 8JQ and for more information you can visit: https://www.facebook.com/greendaycafechester.
