A CARE provider which operates a specialist care facility in Chester has been announced as a finalist for a prestigious industry award.

Belong Chester has been selected as a finalist for the Development and Innovation Award in this year’s Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.

Taking place on Friday, March 15, at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham, the nominations recognise those who significantly contribute to their communities, particularly in the not-for-profit sector.

The awards celebrate the tireless efforts, innovation and outstanding service of individuals and organisations making a lasting impact on society.

Belong Chester is an intergenerational care village, offering a wide range of services and facilities, with the added opportunity to continue enjoying multi-generational experiences as part of daily life.

Neil Galjaard, divisional managing director at Markel, said: “Every year, we are inspired by the incredible stories of how charities throughout the nation make a real difference in people's lives. Patrick Butler at Belong, Chester is a shining example of the outstanding contributions we seek to celebrate and wish them the best of luck for the final.”
