Motorcyclist 'seriously injured' following crash on main road in Chester (Image: Newsquest)
A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to Aintree Hospital this afternoon (Friday, March 1) following a crash on the A5115 Christleton Road in Chester.
Police were called to reports of a collision at 12pm today. Upon arrival they found that a motorbike had collided with an Alfa Romeo.
The rider of the bike is believed to have sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and had been taken to hospital in Aintree.
Police say that the driver of the car was uninjured and that no arrests have been made.
The incident saw the road closed between the A41 Ring Road and Moorcroft Avenue, leading to long queues of traffic.
