TWO POPULAR pubs in Cheshire West will soon be under new management.
Punch Taverns have listed both The Travellers Rest in Frodsham and The Piper in Hoole as ‘available’ venues for those looking to run a pub. An offer was understood to be under consideration considered for The Piper, and has now been accepted.
Punch Taverns say of The Piper: “This is a busy pub with a great sports offer and supporting local sporting teams, as well as an extensive external patio area to manage. Food trade potential is huge here, so experience of running a busy kitchen and keeping an exceptional pint of beer, with standards that are second to none. All these skills will make The Piper a success.
“The facilities are second to none, with a large open plan dining & bar area. Great car park and outside guest area. We are the regular favourite for local diners and we are famous for our Sunday Lunch, entertainment nights and key sporting events.”
The Travellers Rest, located on Kingsley Road in Frodsham is currently available for a tenancy.
The gastropub, which overlooks rolling countryside and is located close to Delamere Forest, is described as:
“A traditional food-led outlet that produces delicious home-cooked dishes with a complementary range of high-quality drinks. During summer, the pub attracts tourists from a caravan and camping park a mile away and walkers visiting the area.”
Ingoing costs for The Travellers Rest are listed at £5,750 with a rent of £350 per week.
Forecasted annual wet turnover for the pub is £129,950 with food turnover at £182,000 and additional turnover of around £8,320.
A spokesperson for Punch Taverns said: “The Piper and The Travellers Rest are both fantastic community pubs ran by excellent Publicans. After a successful 12 months at The Piper, Suzanne and Gary have chosen to vacate the pub and whilst we are sad to see them leave, we wish them both the very best for their future. We are delighted to confirm that we will be welcoming Alan and Emma North who will be taking over The Piper this March.
