A GARDEN centre café has reopened in Wirral following its refurbishment.

Bromborough Pool Café and Shop, based in Bromborough Pool Village, is welcoming visitors back through its doors from today (Wednesday, February 21) following its completed refurbishment work.

The café, which opened in 2012, is managed by Wirral-based charity Autism Together and offers a chance for autistic people to gain valuable workplace and social skills, while serving customers and working behind the scenes.

A spokesperson for Bromborough Pool Café and Shop said: “Our refurbishment work is complete and our staff and the people we support are ready to welcome the public back into our popular cafe.

“We have a new look menu and are now selling a range of grocery items, including eggs, bread, jams, chutneys, chocolates, sweets and much more.

“We have an extra serving counter, more space to display cakes and other goodies, and the cafe area feels more open and spacious than before.

“What's more we're now open even earlier from 9am to 3.30pm every day of the week.

“The outdoor service area has undergone a number of changes, with much of the rear garden centre space now just for use by the people we support.

“However, there are still some plants and garden items for sale at the rear and in the covered area to the side of the cafe.

“We hope you can come along and check out our new look Bromborough Pool Cafe & Shop this week.”
