COMMUTERS are being hit with long queues on the M56 near Chester this afternoon.
This is following a crash on the M56 eastbound at junction 12, Runcorn.
One lane is closed following the incident and long queues are building as far as Junction 15 (M53 Interchange) on the eastbound carriageway.
Normal traffic conditions are expected to resume between 6.45pm and 7pm according to National Highways, but motorists should seek alternative routes if possible.
