A WEEK of overnight closures on the A55 is set to start on Sunday (February 25).

Traffic Wales has confirmed that a stretch of the eastbound carriageway from Junction 35 Dobshill to Junction 38 Posthouse will be closed for a week.

The closures will be in place each evening from 8pm until 6am, with a diversion through Penyfford, Hope, and Llay before joining the A483.

The overnight closures are part of a two-month-long set of roadworks along the A55 being undertaken by Traffic Wales.

They say the roadworks involve "essential work to repair and replace the underlying concrete bays and resurface between Junction 36 (Broughton) and the border between England and Wales."

Works will begin on the eastbound side of the carriageway followed by westbound, with further closures set for March.
