THE developers behind the Christleton Hall apartment project have been awarded a coveted industry award.

Blueoak Estates has secured the ‘Apartment Development of the Year’ award from business industry bible ‘Insider’.

Held at Manchester Central, the Chester-based business beat off strong competition from high-end developments across the North West to take the top spot at the recent Residential Property Awards 2024.

The judges praised Blueoak Estates for ‘rescuing a listed building from dereliction and delivering a product that met a real need in the market for downsizers.’

Iain MacLean, Managing Director of Blueoak Estates said: “We are, of course, delighted to have won this important award. Christleton Hall is an incredibly special place and we have applied painstaking detail and precision in our approach to demonstrate our respect  for the building, retaining its integrity, carefully restoring and developing it for modern use.

“We were up against some amazing schemes and recognise the standards where particularly high, and are so pleased to see Christelton Hall receive the recognition we believe it deserves.”

Christleton Hall, the former law college and historic manor house, was built in 1750, having most recently been acquired by Blueoak and reconfigured to create 14 luxury homes.

Mr MacLean added: “There are so many aspects to this scheme to be proud of, notably the lasting legacy we have made on the building itself and to the wider environment."
