FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a home in Frodsham in the early hours of this morning.
One fire crew attended the incident in Howey Rise at about 3.15am today (Sunday, January 28).
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a fire in a house.
"On arrival, they found a fire affecting the roof space above a log burner.
"The crew cut away plasterboard and part of the ceiling to expose a wooden beam which was affected by fire.
"One hose reel and a thermal imaging camera were used to put the fire out and check for any remaining hotspots."
