AN EVENT designed to help people of all ages boost their energy and positivity will count a world record holding ultra-marathon runner among its guest speakers next month.

Helen Ryvar, a single mum-of-three from Llay, broke the Guinness World Record last year after completing 500 consecutive half marathons as she raised money for mental health charity MIND following the tragic death of her husband.

The 42-year-old who has said that running is "like therapy" for her, will pass on her tips to regain energy and positivity as part of Positive Fest 4 - The Energy Edition, which takes place at the Pavillion, Chester Racecourse, on February 18.

The event's creator, Nick Wood said: "It’s a mind and energy-boosting day of excitement and discovery featuring movement, yoga, positivity, music and a series of presentations.

"Delegates will be able to learn all about energy and how to harness and make the most out of it, all whilst raising money for charity."

This is the fourth PositiveFest to be staged in Chester. Included in this year’s line-up is Yoga Goddess Lucy Beckworth and energy educator Adam White.

Co-organiser Helen Shanley explained: "Previous Positive Fest events have been life-changing for many participants and I’m sure that this year will be no exception. This is all about guiding participants to manage their energy effectively to maximise both their physical and mental well-being.

"It will be a welcoming space for anyone looking to enhance their energy levels and explore new patterns of thinking."

The theme of the event revolves around the exploration of energy - how it is used, wasted, and harnessed for positive change. All profits will be donated to mental health charities.
