A POPULAR pub near Chester is set to build on the success of its guest chef series.

The White Horse in Churton, part of the Elite Bistros roster, has announced the latest in its series of guest events which have seen some of the UK's top chefs takeover the Cheshire restaurant's kitchen.

The series has already seen the likes of Simon Rimmer, Tom Kerridge, and Farokh Talati among a host of other names who have appeared since the first event in August.

Its latest addition is Thom Bateman, whose restaurant The Flintlock at Cheddleton has been added to the Michelin Guide in November 2023.

The White Horse said via social media: "Our next guest chef series for 2024 starts next Tuesday with the super talented @BatemanThom.

"I can’t wait to see the menu! Followed by another 9 guest chefs. Wow what a start to the year!"

Visitors are able to book for each guest chef night, with each event lasting for a single evening. Upcoming guest chefs include Liam Dillon, Pip Lacey and Romy Gill.

The White Horse is the eighth and newest restaurant in the highly successful Elite Bistros line up, which also counts Hoole's Sticky Walnut and Heswall's Burnt Truffle among its locations.
