NOW is the time to nominate projects, organisations and volunteers in Cheshire West and Chester, and celebrate their achievements in the annual Voluntary Arts Awards.

The council is once again supporting Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network to recognise individuals or organisations making a difference to their community through the arts.

For its seventh year the event will celebrate the sector with a free Awards Evening on 26 March 2024 at Northwich Memorial Court.

Councillor Lisa Denson, Cabinet Member for A Fairer Future (Poverty, Public Health and Mental Health) said: “This year’s award evening will be held in Northwich, it is your chance to share the huge amount of work taking place across the borough. We want to hear from groups and individuals sharing stories about the impact being made by arts projects and activities. “

If you are a group, or know of a group or individual doing this work, then nominations can now be made in the following categories:

  • Children & Youth Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Visual Arts
  • Music
  • Outstanding Contribution (a special award to a group or individual)
  • Unsung Hero (that person who is always working away in the background, continuously supporting a group / project)

To nominate an organisation, or individual complete an application form available from: artswest@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

The deadline for applications is 9am, Monday 12 February 2024

Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network supports and promotes voluntary arts groups across Cheshire West and Chester.

This year’s event is supported by The UK Shared Prosperity Fund through a grant given to Cheshire West Voluntary Action to support grassroots organisations using arts to engage communities in the borough.
