A WIRRAL couple have opened a new coffee bar in Heswall.

Adam Fenley, from Oxton, started the business Wirral Spend Independent in lockdown.

It aimed to support local, independent businesses and reward customers for shopping with them.

With this, Adam got to know many companies in the area, including coffee, tea, and cake businesses and so decided to open up his own coffee bar with his partner, Hannah Trouseale.

The premise, which used to be coffee shop Sister, is located on Downham Road South in Heswall.

Speaking to the Globe, Adam said: "We were looking for somewhere near the water. Sister was closed for quite some time so we've kept it as it is but re-branded."

Adam and Hannah's coffee bar SIP, which opened on November 3, serves coffee from Chester suppliers Jaunty Goat and tea from West Kirby's LEAF.

Adam, 32, added: "We are more of a coffee bar and can seat about 10 people.

"We are promoting chill vibes, and me and Hannah love Bali so were are reflecting that in SIP.

"You can put your phones down, enjoy your coffee and chill.

"It's been good as we've taken on customers from the previous shop too.

"It's scary but it's so fun, we're just learning the ropes."

SIP is open Thursday and Friday 8am-4pm and weekends 9am-3pm. However, will be opening from Tuesday-Sunday in the new year.
