KINDHEARTED Blues fans are going the extra mile and walking to the club’s away game at Warrington Town on New Year’s Day.

They are aiming to raise money for two young children battling serious illness.

In the small hours of January 1 the Blacon Seals will set out on the 23 mile trek from Chester FC’s Deva Stadium to Warrington Town FC’s Cantilever Park.

Their motivation is to fundraise for two little girls, two year-old Ava from Chester and two year-old Maddie from Warrington.

Ava is confronting a glioblastoma tumour.

Through surgeries, radiotherapy and setbacks, Ava’s resilience and infectious smile inspire everyone around her.

Now her family is aiming to raise funds for an experimental immunotherapy treatment, a beacon of hope they cannot afford alone.

Funds are also being raised for Maddie who is battling a stage 4 Wilms tumour.

Despite enduring chemotherapy, surgeries and facing complications Maddie’s spirit shines.

Her family including her two sisters, has been profoundly impacted, both financially and emotionally.

By fundraising you can help support special moments for Maddie’s family.

The Blacon Seals are hoping fans of both clubs and others will dig deep to support their efforts on behalf of two young children and their families who are facing bigger challenges.

More than £1,000 has already been raised for the walk before the Blacon Seals have even set off on their travels, but more support is needed.

A spokesperson for the group said: “Join us in supporting Ava’s journey.

“Your contributions will help Ava access the much-needed experimental treatment, giving this remarkable little girl a fighting chance of a brighter future.

“Let’s rally together to raise funds, providing Maddie’s family the chance to cherish moments, enjoy Christmas, and create lasting memories amidst uncertainty.

“Your support can make a significant difference in their lives.

“As the Blacon Seals set out at 4am, walking from the Deva Stadium, we invite all Chester fans to join the unified effort.

“The route includes a stop at The Railway pub in Helsby before reaching the Warrington v Chester football game.

“Together we can make a huge difference for Maddie, Ava and their families.”
