A CHESHIRE West driver has been banned from the roads after being caught over the drug limit.
Dawid Mencel was stopped in Dunwoody Way, Crewe, on February 25 earlier this year.
A subsequent blood test revealed the 27-year-old, of Dee Way, Winsford, had 2.7µg/L of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his system.
The legal limit for the component of cannabis is 2µg/L.
Mencel was charged with drug driving and initially denied the offence, before changing his plea to guilty at Chester Magistrates Court on December 4.
The bench disqualified Mencel from driving 16 months and fined him £162.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £640 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
