YOUNGSTERS were able to join their Chester school headteacher in showing support for this year's Movember challenge.

Traditionally, Movember sees men grow a moustache throughout November in aid of men's health causes.

Pupils at The Firs School were also able to show their support for this good cause as they all assembled to complete their morning mile walk, wearing a stick-on moustache, to support the charity.

Fostering both mental and physical wellbeing among its pupils is of great importance to the Firs School and prioritising these aspects alongside academic excellence is crucial in preparing pupils for the future.

Headteacher at The Firs School in Chester David Girvan grew a moustache for Movember as part of the charity's fundraising appeal.

He said: “ I'm proud of all our children in their great efforts to support Movember! Sporting a moustache for a good cause has been a fun way to raise awareness and funds and together our school community has made a meaningful difference in supporting men's health initiatives."
