AN ACCLAIMED harpist will join Chester Male Voice Choir for a special festive concert.

The event, which will take place at St Columba's Church in Newton on Friday, December 15 at 7.30pm, will see Dylan Cernyw accompany the choir for a host of festive favourites including 'Joy to the World', 'In the Bleak Mid Winter' and 'Silent Night'.

Other highlights from the concert will include 'Gaston' from Beauty and The Beast and a debut performance by the choir of 'We Rise Again'.

During the concert, the audience will also be invited to join the choir in singing some traditional carols. The choir will once again be under the baton of its musical director Joe Mann and accompanied by pianist Helen Jackson.

"This year has been a busy year for the choir and we are well ahead with planning next year's events, so the choir will be having a well-earned break over the Christmas period, ready to start again refreshed in 2024. We would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas and we look forward to seeing friends and supporters at our events next year."
