A CHIMNEY blaze near Chester saw firefighters called in the early hours of this morning (November 24).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at The Wynd in Kelsall, sending an engine from Tarporley shortly after 2am.
There are no reports of any injuries or serious damage as a result of the fire.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a property where a coal fireplace had been lit and appeared to be spreading up the chimney, causing smoke to fill the room.
"Crews put out the fire and used rods to clear the chimney of debris."
