A BUILDING in Chester was evacuated this afternoon (Monday, November 20) as fire crews tackled serious incident.
Fire engines from Chester, Ellesmere Port and Powey Lane arrived on Jupiter Drive at around 12.10pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet with a misting attachment to tackle a fire in a commercial property. Crews gained access to the internal ducting ventilation system to dampen down the area.
"Firefighters monitored the temperature of the ducting using a thermal imaging camera until no heat sources were detected. No casualties were reported at the scene, a full evacuation of the building took place when crews arrived."
