CHESTER'S theatre, cinema, library and community hub has announced a dazzling array of festive events and entertainment for all to enjoy.

From the Christmas show Cinderella to interactive experiences, classic film screenings, holiday boredom busters and heartwarming community initiatives, Storyhouse is aiming to be the ultimate destination for festive fun. 

The highlight of the Christmas programme is the season spectacular Cinderella. Get ready to embark on a magical journey filled with interactive moments and timeless pop favourites.

This enchanting production will run from 1 December to 6 January, ensuring audiences have plenty of opportunities to join the festivities. 

But the excitement doesn't stop there, Storyhouse has a calendar brimming with activities and events for all tastes. 

Wreath Making Workshops (November 29 – December 8): Unleash your creative spirit and craft your very own festive wreath. 

Cinema  

Festive Family Film Favourites every weekend in December: gather the family and enjoy heartwarming classics including How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Polar Express and Arthur Christmas followed by free arts and crafts in Storyhouse library.  

Christmas Flicks (December 17-19): Dive into the holiday spirit with Christmas classics under The Kitchen big screen, including It's a Wonderful Life, Die Hard and Home Alone , accompanied by delectable festive food prepared by Storyhouse's talented chefs. 

Parent and Baby  

Timeless rom-com Love Actually will be the seasonal parent and baby screening. 

CBeebies Christmas Panto (2 – 9 December): Enjoy the magic of CBeebies Christmas Panto Robin Hood live in Storyhouse’s independent boutique cinema.  

Discover the enchantment of ballet with a sparkling festive treat for the whole family: Royal Opera House’s live screening of the iconic Christmas ballet The Nutcracker (12 December)

Big Christmas Singalong (December 3): Join us under Storyhouse's grand Christmas tree for a magical evening of carols and festive favourites with Chester-based musical maestro Matt Baker. Expect Silent Night and Good King Wenceslas sang by a choir of hundreds.  

An Independent Makers Market, Vinyl and Print Fair (November 30): Find unique holiday gifts and a showcase of the city’s craft talent, plus enjoy Storyhouse’s new winter cocktail menu. 

Murder Mystery: Have Yourself A Merry Little Murder (December 9 and 16): Immerse yourself in a joyful and festive alternative theatre experience.
