CHESTER FC have been given an even bigger incentive to win their FA Cup replay against York next week.

The Blues are already facing the tantalising prospect of hosting 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic, if they defeat York City in the First Round replay at the York Stadium Leisure Complex on Tuesday, November 14 (7.45pm kick-off).

Now it has been confirmed that the Second Round tie, between either Chester or York vs Wigan Athletic, will be shown live on the BBC.

That match will take place on Friday, December 1, at 7.45pm, and will be broadcast on BBC Two.

The Blues more than held their own against York City in the First Round encounter on Saturday, November 4, and nearly grabbed a winner at the death, but the match ended 0-0. The club has confirmed that well over 500 Chester FC fans have already snapped up away tickets for the replay.

If Chester are victorious, it would be the second time they have had a full match broadcast on the BBC this season, after their 3-1 win at Tadcaster Albion in the Second Round Qualifying stage of the competition was shown live on the BBC website and Red Button.
