AN inspirational charity to women living with breast cancer, including a Chester mum, has held a fantastic fundraising masquerade ball.

The Fighting to be Heard Foundation was launched to offer friendship, family and financial support for those impacted by secondary breast cancer.

Among those is co-founder of the charity Kimberly Noble, who was initially diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2018 and embarked on an intensive treatment programme straight away, having 16 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy.

Despite being told in September that year the cancer had gone, sadly Kimberly was diagnosed with secondary metastatic breast cancer in February 2020 – also known as metastatic, advanced or stage IV breast cancer – which is when breast cancer has spread to other parts of the body. It can be treated, but not cured.

As part of Kimberly's journey of living with cancer, she became part of a group of women who have been part of an inspirational campaign.

And the latest of those events was a masquerade ball, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Chester, with all proceeds going towards the foundation.

Kimberly, who lives in Hoole with husband Sean and son Charlie, said that, thanks to everyone who showed support, a total of £2,646 was raised for Fighting to be Heard.

Those who showed their support for the event were: Manchester United, Liverpool and Chester football clubs; 4 ball golf-Birkdale; Dollimore; Dave Williams Photography; DoubleTree; Bearded Tattoo; Gin Hamper (Angie Jones); Prosecco Hamper (Kimberly's clients); Nail voucher (Paige Chohan – Cheshire Housewives); Theatre Clwyd; Royal Court Theatre Manchester; Pen-y-Bont Farm; Shair; Maegen; Samantha Dixon MP; Doll Beauty; Skin Trainer; Pour Moi; Karen Davies; Samantha (Louise Fudge); Brow HQ; @Lisa Dirkin; Dial a Dog Wash and Flowers by Kate Orr.

Also thanked for their support on the night are Chelly at The Stanton House, Chirk, for dressing the event room, and singer Rosalie Galvin, a continued supporter of the charity, who kept everyone entertained throughout the night.

Described as the forgotten form of breast cancer, it is estimated that over 57,000 people are living with metastatic secondary breast cancer in the UK.

The Fighting to be Heard Foundation will soon be providing winter grants to support those in need.
