NEW images of what the Women and Children's Building will look like when it’s completed in summer 2025 at the Countess of Chester Hospital have been revealed by the Trust.

The artist’s impression pictures, which have not been released to the public before, give a visual insight into how the £110m three-storey facility will look when it opens in two years' time.

Construction work on the project is expected to continue to progress quickly, with the help of two large cranes that can currently be seen in the hospital grounds. The cranes will be on the site until next summer.

The new building will replace the existing Women and Children's Building that has been in use since 1971, and all maternity services will move into the new development, resulting in increased capacity and extra modern rest spaces for patients, staff and families.
