A MAN who invaded the pitch at a Chester FC game is to face trial over allegations of assault.
Stephen Tilston, 38, of Oak Drive, Penyffordd, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, October 20, where he pleaded guilty to invading the pitch at the Chester FC match against Brackley Town on May 7, the play-off semi-final game which the visitors won 1-0.
He denied two charges of assault by beating, alleged to have happened on the same day.
A trial, scheduled to last one day, will be held at Chester Magistrates Court on February 23, 2024.
Tilston was bailed on condition he does not attend any regulated football match in England or Wales in the meantime.
