A FALLEN tree has caused delays and cancelled trains on the Merseyrail network by Ellesmere Port this afternoon (Friday, September 29).
The tree is blocking the line at Little Sutton, the rail operator has confirmed.
As a result, trains on the Ellesmere Port line are being affected.
Services which would have gone to and from Ellesmere Port are now terminating and beginning at Hooton – ie, the service will run to and from Hooton and Liverpool Central.
