A NUMBER of fire crews were called out to an incident in Chester this morning, Wednesday.
Two fire engines from Chester and Lymm and the rope and animal rescue teams from Lymm and Bollington, attended the scene in Chester Road at about 9.30am today.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A horse was stuck in a swimming pool and was rescued by firefighters and the service animal rescue teams by strops being put around the horse and a mechanical digger utilised to lift it out of the pool.
"The horse was sedated before lifting to keep it calm and was checked by a vet after the rescue."
