THE much-anticipated Brewksi restaurant will open in Chester very soon, with a speakeasy bar and 'other surprises'.

Plans for the 'Home of North American comfort food' to open its new venue on Eastgate Street - formerly the Edinburgh Woollen Mill - were first approved in October last year, with the company saying that an 'absolute monster' three-storey restaurant would be on its way to the city centre.

Initially thought to be opening in spring 2023, fans of Brewski, which two other locations in Manchester and Sheffield, have had to be patient.

The company took to Instagram last night (Tuesday, October 26) to inform followers: "Signage is up at Brewski Chester!

"We are situated slap bang in the centre of town where Northgate meets Eastgate.

"3 floors of the finest comfort food and cocktails. We are opening in stages with a speakeasy and more surprises added over the coming months."

Brewski have also confirmed that the restaurant will open on October 5, with bookings now live.

The brand has become extremely popular for its flavourful poutine, burritos, burgers and steaks, which are served in impressive portions. It also serves an extensive range of craft beers, gins, cocktails and artisans coffee.

Self-professed 'Home of the mate date' the brand says its aims to create the 'ultimate treat day dining experience' with 'innovative, great tasting sharing platters'.
