A SECTION of the A483 will be closed next week for 'essential' works.
Traffic Wales has confirmed there will be a series of overnight road closures to allow for carriageway patching to take place.
The work will take place between J3 at Rhostyllen and J6 Gresford over five nights starting from September 25.
Stretches of the A483 will be closed each night between 7.30pm and 6am, with traffic being diverted across the county network.
The programme of traffic management restrictions is as followed :
25/09/23: J3 – J4 northound will be closed.
26/09/23: J4 – J5 northbound will be closed.
27/09/23: J6 – J5 southbound will be closed.
28/09/23: J5 – J4 southbound will be closed.
29/09/23: J4 – J3 soutbound will be closed.
A Traffic Wales Spokesperson said: "Work to carry out essential carriageway patching between J3 Croesfoel and J6 Gresford in both directions will commence on the 25/09/23 for 5 nights.
"The work will be carried out over 5 nights from 19:30 – 06:00 each night under full carriageway closures.
"Traffic will be diverted to the county network and will follow the signed diversions.
"The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption."
