POLICE have closed a major Cheshire road this afternoon (Tuesday, September 19) due to a serious collision.
The incident has been reported at the junction by the Fishpool Inn near Delamere, where the A54 meets the B5152 Abbey Lane.
Police say both roads are closed at that section of road.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police added: "The roads are expected to be closed for some time and we're urging motorists to avoid the area."
