Motorists are experiencing long delays on the A55 near Chester.
DELAYS are being reported on the A55 by Chester this afternoon due to a report of a road traffic collision.
The incident has closed one lane on the westbound carriageway between Junction 40 (A51 Vicars Cross Interchange) and Junction 39 (Sainsbury's/Boughton Heath Roundabout).
Congestion is building back as far as where the A55 meets the M53 motorway, with traffic also building on the nearby A41 and the A5115 Christleton Road.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.
