THE Works has opened a new larger store within Chester's Grosvenor Shopping centre today (Thursday, September 7) after relocating from its initial site.
The UK retailer, which primarily stocks book, arts and crafts equipment, toys and stationary, has moved two door down from its original location - next to HMV - to a new 3, 046 sq. ft. unit next to Desire Clothing.
Over the last 40 years The Works has established itself as a popular high street brand, with 526 stores in the UK & Ireland. The company employs around 4000 people.
The value retailer says the new store will provide more of the products that customer love, including ranges like Peppa Pig, Harry Potter and new books on their release date by leading authors such as Julia Donaldson.
A spokesperson for The Works said: "The Grosvenor Shopping Centre is a fantastic location for The Works, right in the heart of Chester, which is why we jumped at the chance to relocate to a larger site.
"From our new store we’ll provide customers with the same excellent value, as well as a much bigger range of products for reading, learning, creating and playing. We can’t wait to welcome both new and existing customers through the doors of our newest store this September!"
