A NEW pink ice cream has been created to celebrate one of the most famous dolls in the world.

Bidlea Dairy is launching their Barbie inspired ice cream at a free fun-filled event.

Families are invited to Orchard Farm in Twemlow on Sunday, August 27, from 12 noon to 2pm meet the dairy’s very own Bidlea Barbie.

An actor from Mid Cheshire Youth Theatre will be dressed in the much-loved pink princess dress.

Family run Bidlea Dairy is hosting a series of special events to promote the theatre’s Broadway adaptation of Frozen, Frozen JR.

Bidlea Barbie plays Elsa in the show to be staged at The Grange Theatre in Hartford from Adam Brown, who runs the dairy, said: “We hope children will come along.

“They can have their photo taken with Bidlea Barbie and try our amazing home made ice cream.”

Adam and wife Becky came up with the idea of making ice cream when their business was struggling to cope with a drop in demand during lockdown.

Sales of fresh cream plummeted as pubs, cafes and restaurants closed.

The couple have won international awards and now produce 27 flavours.

The secret of their success, they believe, is the rich cream and top quality milk produced by their 300-strong Holstein Fresian dairy herd.

Adam said: “Becky has created a Barbie flavour ice cream.

“It is a new luxury flavour made from fresh strawberries with strawberry ripple and other ingredients.

“It is really creamy.”
