A POPULAR winter attraction which has been nominated for 'Best New Event' at the UK Theme Park Awards will return to Cheshire this December.

BeWILDerwood Christmas, at the successful BeWILDerwood adventure park near Chomondeley Castle, will run on selected dates from December 2 to December 23. Tickets have been put on sale earlier due to last year's demand and are available now.

BeWILDerwood is based on the book series by author and creator Tom Blofeld and focuses on encouraging children to enjoy traditional, imaginative, and healthy outdoor play. It's Cheshire park opened in spring 2021 and won the award for New Tourism Business at the 2022/23 Marketing Cheshire Awards.

The Christmas event will give visitors the chance to uncover exclusive areas as they follow a sparkling light trail. Kids can spot silly snowmen, a giant Christmas pudding and interact with their favourite BeWILDerwood characters along the way. Have a giggle at the Storytelling Stage with a mini BeWILDerwood pantomime as you make magical family memories in the woods.

The event returns after a wave of positive reviews from last year:

"Amazing! The staff did so well, first time and been to a couple of similar Christmas events elsewhere but this was the best by far, great for the kids and adults. Great value for money too…other events are more expensive and not as good at all. The interactive element with the characters made it extra special and fun. We’ll be back, thank you!" - Suzie Almond via Facebook.

"Had a magical time at Bewilderwood Christmas. All the adults and 3 grandchildren aged between 2 and 7 loved every minute. Beautifully done and well thought out. Staff are brilliant and the panto and various characters throughout the trail round are so funny. Worth every penny. Would recommend to all, young or more mature. Thanks Bewilderwood." - Lind Evans via Google review.
